HOW TO HELP
There are three ways you can help:
1. Buy a gift and bring it to the gift bagging night.
Access our wish list database, after signing up, in order to buy a gift. The wish lists are inputted by the shelters on behalf of those that are there during the holidays. The database protects the identities of the individuals, but provides the details that are needed to purchase a personalized gift.
The specific gifts are requested by the families and all details such as favourite colour, clothing size and age are provided by the shelters, ensuring that the gift does not exceed a perceived value of $25 - $35 per person.
Purchase the item and deliver the gift on the day of the gift bagging event.
At the Event your gift will be "bagged" by either yourself or volunteers. This means assembling the gift bag by including the essential items that will be found at the event such as coats and gloves. Once all of the gifts are bagged, the various shelters come to the event and collect the bag(s),. Know that you have helped make someone's holiday a whole lot brighter!
2. Donate cash
All of our cash donations are handled through PayPal. Once you click on the donate button below, you will be taken to PayPal's donation page. This is the most efficient and cost effective way for SCTBS to collect donations and we apologize for any inconvenience for those of you that do not have PayPal accounts. Signing up for a PayPal account is easy and free though, so please don't let a quick sign up process deter you from giving.
